Cargo Collective

As this blog seems to be a collection of things i like and things i do - the former
seems to have taken precedence recently - work that i've made seems to have got
a bit lost among the multiple posts along the lines of 'ohhh i wish i did this.'

So i've set up a cargo collective site with recent (and not so recent) my work which
can be seen HERE. It's a work in progress so slowly but surely adding more bits to it.

slowly but surely... getting a bit nervous now.

I started drawing again

A bit sad that this is the first proper work post
after loads of youtube videos.

I like how the mask looks like the little boy's (a bit?) below.

V&A...again

I've been doing bits and bobs at the v&a for a few months now, helping out in workshops as well as designing an identity for their youth forum CreateVoice. Nothing that was a huge departure for me though; black outlined and hand rendered type but I had some lovely feedback from it which is encouraging. Now to start designing a postcard pack to woo a supermodel!

This was my entry for the image for the V&A website. i really like it and it's really similar to the chintzy cheeriness on i posted a little while ago from my sketchbook. I didn't win but i'm to do an identity for the CreateVoice scheme instead! pressure pressure pressure

I feel a bit sick with nerves with this whole work experience business. Procrastination seems to be key in this debacle so, as of last weekend, i have started a personal sketchbook for proper. A nice little one that has been lying in my room for about a year waiting to be filled. I now just need to remember to do a little and often. And to stop telling people my ideas so they steal them. And to stop being a doormat.

What would Rod Stewart do...?
